Clean up - What can be found!

Every now and then I get the urge to futilely clean up one of the many rooms I have dedicated to my gaming pursuits (I have the use of the whole lower level of my two story house - a granny flat precisely).  Don't know how long it will last before I give it all up as a bad decision and go back to brooding.

Below are a few pictures of projects that have languished for lack of people with imagination (of whom I am not one).

Kingdom of Britannia - Dystopian Wars.
Yes I based them and gave each ship an individual name!

American War of Independence 15mm
British and Hessian
Was rebasing them for the WRG rules with a slight base width change.
Must obtain some Continental troops eventually.

English Civil War 15mm
Another project lacking opponents

Since the death of my friend I've not played this game in over a decade.

BattleLore 2nd Ed - Saturday Game

So my much abusive retainer arrived today to have a campaign bash of BattleLore.  Played over 4 games progressing A - B - C - D scenarios.  The winner choosing 1 or 2 options at each letter stage.  The loser always getting option 1 (hence first turn), otherwise a die roll to determine first player.

1st Game (A) - Anthony won.
2nd Game (B) - Anthony won.
3rd Game (C) - I WON!!!!!!!
4th Game (D) - Anthony won.

The final wash up with victory points put Anthony 11 points in front.

A good day of gaming with an old friend and a good game.

I brought up last game about using stands as an aid in playing.
As you can see I can pick up and move around a lot better than
attempting to remember where units were placed.

The final game.

Anthony, musing what abuse he can hurl at me!

Deadzone - Friday Night "Gun Crazy"!

Mantic Games has got the right mixture of game play, miniatures and fun/simplicity.

My friend Michael S popped over last night and had a game of Deadzone with me.  My second game and this time there was no "additional" input from observers to muddy the waters (although it always helps to have someone who knows some of the rules present when playing any game).

What can I say, my capacity to roll woefully has returned in spades.  My "Rainmaker" who has the Gun Crazy rule always managed to loose control of his weapons and Michael had a field day potting off my troops in a hail of Blaze Away actions.  Goblin Sniper gave Michael's Leader a scare when targeted in the first turn of play.  Pity I could only roll 1-3's.

And enjoyable evening.

Gold Coast Supernova - 6th April 2014

I took my daughter Dana and her friend Ally to Supernova at the Gold Coast today.
I stress a lot when it comes to going to places I don't know, but at the end of the day Dana and Ally had a really good time, and that's what counts.
Dana was happy to get a photo with "Merle" from The Walking Dead.  She wished Darryl was there.
